The new year started off with a subdued cheer as share prices gained on the first day of extended trading. The PSEi main index went up by 25.12 points, or 0.56% higher from last year’s close, to end the session at 4,397.08 on very thin trading. Total value turnover plunged to PhP1.77bn, or just one-third of the previous session’s value, as most investors were still out of the market afterthe recent holidays. Cautious trading lifted share prices slightly higher as investors reduced property shares in favor of industrial and power-related stocks. The benchmark PSEi index rose 6.28 points, or 0.14% higher from Monday, to close at 4,282.62 on moderate trading volume.

Lower than expected GDP growth in the third quarter pulled local share prices lower on Tuesday, its ninth in the last ten trading sessions, as investors reduced holdings and took profits from select blue-chip gainers. From June 30, 2011… all traders are happy for the strong rally which the PSEi closed at +41.86 points up. Followed consecutively at +60.42, +69.93 and +18.05 on July 05, 2011. Market wouldn’t always that way, I was just luckily disposed my stock shares before it go to sliding rides. July 06, 2011it begins show downtrends -40.86, -22.99 points.
