Aside from stock market, I also fascinated to collect old or silver coins. I believed personally, that collecting or investing on precious coins like silver and gold is also profitable in the long run. 

And if we been involved in collecting rare or commemorative coins, we need at least to know the how to grade the coin condition as a basic bases to it's purchase value.

Over the weekend, world stock markets continued to be volatile; dropping more than 2% as US employment unexpectedly stagnated in August 2011. In contrast, gold spot price was up 3.2% last Friday and closed at $1,886.4 / oz., after closing at $1,754.0 / oz. on August 24, 2011 and reaching an intraday low of $1,705.4 / oz. on August 25, 2011.

The power of gold has never diminished; we could trace it back to Biblical times. During the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar, they say that the ounce of gold can be bought with hundred loaves of bread based from the Old Testament.
